Who are we ? Maggy and Pierre will welcome you in this family property which includes in its perimeter the cottage that we named LA MAISON FRANCINE, in memory of the "granny Francine" who spent her life there until 1962 (see photos!). No more chidren at home, we like to receive holidaymakers from France and elsewhere who often become friends and come back to visit us. Pierre is a retired computer scientist, and Maggy, a professor of letters, will soon join this privileged club ...
The "Maison Francine" is a typical old house of the 18th century, renovated in 2004 with old materials, and regularly maintained. Its thick walls (60cm) and double glazed windows keep the house cool even on hot summer days. It is equipped to receive four people: a double bed 140cm on a mezzanine independent, and two beds 90cm in the bedroom. The interior is furnished with care and equipped with audiovisual and appliances with all modern comforts. Music lovers will have the pleasure of enjoying, in the living room, a SAMICK upright piano whose sound is enhanced by the acoustics of the room. And one can play all day long !
In its private garden, La Maison Francine offers its occupants a relaxing area, two shaded dining areas, and of course, a barbecue.
This cottage has private access on the street of the hamlet, and is included in our property of 3000m2. At the bottom of the shared garden, in a restanque, is the swimming pool (4m X 9m) that we share with our tenants, without restriction, and in good agreement. Precision: tenants are most often alone at the pool. Possibility of parking in the garden of the property.
Animals are allowed if they live in good agreement with our cats and our hens. We will suggest you to taste the products of our vegetable garden, according to what it will give, and the eggs with the inimitable taste of our chickens which are living in freedom.
Life in La Bégude is peaceful. The hamlet "La Bégude" is located at the foot of the Luberon, in the area called "Grand Luberon", located east of Apt (12km), reputed more authentic, less stormed by tourists than the triangle Gordes-Roussillon-Bonnieux located just on the west side of Apt. We live in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of Luberon. The surrounding area is ideal for hiking in the Grand Luberon, but also in famous sites such as Gorges d'Oppedette, or a little further, the Mont Ventoux. Cycling is also an activity that is done with pleasure.
Provence, in summer is famous for local markets, small producers of fruits and vegetables, goat cheeses and farm products that will delight you. The region is also known for its cellars of the Luberon coasts and Ventoux coasts, which you can taste at the winery or at the restaurants.
In summer, many events are offered in the villages, from theatrical performances, through outdoor cinemas and not forgetting the votive festivals which are an opportunity to celebrate every weekend. summer, a different village. Our village of Saint Martin is celebrating the weekend of August 15th.
We preferably rent by fortnight! A week is too short: this is the remark that we have often made our tenants! In fact, taking the time to land, to find landmarks and to pace holidays between walks and idleness, it's quite an art! One week is not enough, but you will judge it. See you soon !
