A villa for two to eight persons, in the much sought after location of Porto Frailis, near Arbatax, on the central east coast of Sardinia. Both the beautiful bay of Porto Frailis and the long stretch of white sandy beach of San Gemiliano are within easy walking distance at less than 800 metres.
On the first floor we offer a spacious well equipped living kitchen. A master bedroom with wardrobes, two further double bedrooms with wardrobes and a bathroom. One more laundry room. A large balkon with view to the garden and its surroundings. At lower ground floor level there is a large livingroom with a dining area. Kitchen and bathroom. Barbecue, terraces and a small garden. Outdoor shower. Own fenced parking area.
The San Gemiliano Beach is at walk distance. It is a beautiful, large and sandy bay with crystal waters that stretches up to the Lido di Orri’. It is very well served with bars where to eat and hiring of sport equipments, parasols, deck chairs etc. If I well recall there is also a Beach Volley field. The bay is dominated by a Spanish tower that was built during the Spanish domination in the XV century to fight the Arab incursions.You can reach it from the beach if you wish to visit it and enjoy a faboulous view from there.
Porto Frailis has a good choice of restaurants and other services, with the larger town of Tortoli and it's associated port, Arbatax, with good ferry services to other parts of Sardinia and the mainland, plus tourist marina, both within just a few minutes drive. Porto Frailis: has a small harbour, Arbatax. The centre of this small town rises at the bottom of Cape Bellavista – territory enriched with the green-coloured Mediterranean scrub and famous for the characteristic red rocks and the masses of porphyritic granite located close to the harbour.
A true explosion of colours takes place in the spring with the contrast of the rocks of the headland and reef, the beach's white sand and the limpid waters. A natural frame to this is the panorama of the surrounding mountains, the highest on the island. Beside the harbour rises a tower from the seventeenth-century while to the right is a prophyry quarry. On the sea, the silhouette of the famous porphyritic reef known as “red rocks' from Arbatax. In addition, there is a passageway dug into the rock through which access to a small beach at the feet of the rocky walls can be had.
Arbatax, This is the best well known town of the Ogliastra area, thanks partly to the presence of the commercial and tourist port and thanks also to its rather intriguing name: it derives from an Arabic word meaning 'fourteenth tower', for the Saracen tower which overlooks the seafront. Arbatax was born as a village of fishermen, many of whom came from the nearby island of Ponza, and it is from fishing that it earned its biggest fortunes, thanks to the significant variety of fish and crustaceans in the area.
Arbatax is placed on the headland of Bellavista, and is surrounded by a natural scenery of bays and inlets which make it completely unique and fascinating. Starting from the Rocce Rosse (Red Rocks), famous throughout the world for their particular colour of porphyry, then the splendid Cala Moresca, on the eastern side of the town, and continuing towards the Telis, the Bay of Portofrailis and San Gemiliano - now residential areas built up using some interesting architecture - it is possible to admire different colours and landscapes, all both striking and enchanting.

In terms of history and archaeology, the whole area is very worthwhile to visit, with many Nuraghi, Domus de Janas, Fonti Sacre, Tombe dei Giganti and Menhir.

House Rules
The quoted rates are up to four persons. An additional fifth or sixth or seventh or eighth person is welcome, but must pay an additional amount each, of €70 per week. Important !! if you'd come with only two persons you can choose from the apartment on the ground floor, or out the apartment on the first floor. If you'd come with more than five persons, you can use as best, the upper apartment, upstairs, we have in here three bedrooms. Although you can also continue to use (only) the bathroom on the ground floor during your stay. If you'd arrive with more than five persons, in that case you can use both apartments, both ground and first floor. Payment Terms: Within 7 days after receiving our confirmation on your booking request you've to pay 50% of the total rent deposit. On arrival at your vacation home, the balance due has to be paid to the owner, by handling of the keys. Regarding a withdrawal of your booking in case of serious illness, we can make an agreement that only 25% of the total amount will be paid from your side. Although when demonstrable with an authentic and signed medical certificate (no copies), which can be sent to our accountant for further verification.Cleaning Fees
