The Cabin is hidden in an olive-grove, in its own secluded garden yet only 100 metres from the road. The pool and terrace have been designed with children in mind. (57 REVIEWS).
The pool & gardens are completely private & secluded, it has a shallow area for the younger members of the family.
Pool-side shower, gas BBQ & trees with illumination, complete a perfect setting for al-fresco dining.
Accommodation comprising of open plan lounge/dining area, & kitchen.
One double and one twin bedroom, each with en-suite shower rooms
Two dining areas outside, one covered, and one on the terrace by the pool.
Large parking area. Covered car-port. (We have hot summer sun!)
There is so much to see & visit in this beautiful region of Southern Spain. Particualy the Alhambra Palace in Granada.
You can ski in the Sierra Navada near Granada, scuba-dive along the coast, visit the spectacular Caves of Nerja, sailing (with or without a skipper), Kayaking on our nearby lake of La Vinuela. Cycling & mountain-biking, & 4x4 jeep adventures & golf.
We have The National Park of Tejeda & Mount La Maroma (6000 ft.) Are on our door-step.
And of course the SUN! For lazing by the pool.
For the evenings, many traditional bars & restaurants close by.
Coast at Torre Del Mar (25 minutes) 3 mile promenade and gardens, sandy beach with many beach cafes and restaurants.

We spent two wonderful weeks at The Cabin in July 2019. The location is perfect if you want to get away from it all, but be close enough to the coast and all that it can offer and the mountains and the fantastic villages and towns nearby. The cabin itself has everything that you will require and the single Ac unit in the living area even in the height of summer is efficient enough to cool it down. Once outside there are a number of different areas to sit, relax and take in the views of the mountains around you. The pool was a perfect size for us and our 8 year old to enjoy. Sitting around the pool at any time of the day was like being in your own little oasis. Mike was very helpful prior to arriving and his directions got us there easily. Mike is a real gent and was happy to help whilst we were there if there was anything we needed. He lives close by but was not intrusive and would message if he was going to pop by. It was a lovely touch that he would arrive with some local eggs or on our last day deliver a couple of beers and some ice lollies for our son. All in all it's a 10/10 from us and we would have no hesitation in coming back again in the future.
We have been staying at the cabin for many many years. This was our 6th visit & we always have a fabulous holiday there. We cannot fault the cabin & it's beautiful garden & pool. Mike is the loveliest man, a brilliant host & always available if needed.
We had a glorious week in Mike’s cabin. Mike met us when we arrived at 9pm with a warm welcome and a bottle of wine and explained everything we needed to know. The cabin is in a lovely peaceful location and is well equipped, the pool is really lovely although as it was March it was a little chilly. Mike was just next door for any issues and popped in a couple of times to check we were ok and to bring fresh eggs and lemons from his garden! It’s only 20 minutes by car to the coast and nearest large supermarket. Overall we had a very lovely relaxing week and would highly recommend it to anyone.
I and whole group of four adults want to give the best possible score for this extraordinary pleasant holiday accomondation. Everything was according to our expectations, or in most cases far above. Michael is excellent host, friendly and helpful and the Cabin is cosy and well equipped. Perfect for two couples (like we) or family of four. The pool area is fantastic with 100 % privacy . Surrounding is rural and very pieceful - no traffic noise,
The cabin was a great place to spend our holiday. It had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The kitchen is well equipped, there are two bathrooms, a good heater/air conditioner in the living area, extra electric heaters for the rare colder days, a television with a huge selection of television channels (and as a bonus Videoclub with a big selection of movies), a washing machine, and a carport (and shade) for the car. But the best part was the absolutely stunning garden with private pool and lots of different sitting options (loungers also). Because of all the beautiful plants, sitting in the shade is no problem. When we were there the pool water was a little cold still, but in the warm months it must be fantastic. Furthermore, Mike is a great host, very welcoming and kind. And he is always available for answering questions or help if needed. The surrounding area is beautiful, with an amazing nature reserve (up in the mountains with great views) not far from the cabin. The ocean with some beautiful beaches are only 20 km away and we’ve also made day trips to Alhambra and El Torcal Natural Park. Lots of places to visit and see in the area and it’s all very beautiful. Also, there is a nice restaurant (Bar Rest. La Viñuela ) in the village nearby, were they don’t mind serving gluten-free food. We would definitely recommend this cabin to others, it’s a great place to enjoy your holiday in the Malaga area.
This is our second time staying at this property, this time for 6 weeks and we will probably be visiting again. We love the pool and garden areas which are stunning and the Cabin suits our needs. The showers are spacious and never without hot water and you are assured of a good night's sleep with the internal shutters. Mike is on hand if any issues occur and will do his best to attend to them promptly. The six weeks went very quickly.
We have just returned to the UK after another stay at the great cabin in Alcaucin. There is absolutely everything you need at the cabin and the pool is just fantastic. We shall be back next year! We love it there.
